Samyak Finance ("Samyak", "we", "us" or "our") respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal data we collect when you visit this website or engage us, why we collect it, how we protect it, and the choices you have. It is written to align with India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the Information Technology Act, 2000 and rules made under it.

1. Who we are

Samyak Finance is an accounting, tax and compliance practice serving businesses operating in India. For the purposes of data-protection law we act as the entity that determines how and why your personal data is processed in connection with our website and services.

  • Client engagement datawhere you engage us, the financial, statutory and identity documents required to deliver the specific service, provided by you or on your instruction.
  • Technical informationbasic, aggregated analytics such as pages viewed and approximate region, collected in a privacy-respecting way to understand how the site is used. We do not use this to identify you personally.

We use personal data to respond to your enquiry, to provide and administer the services you engage us for, to meet our own legal, tax and regulatory obligations, and to improve this website. We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for advertising.

4. The basis on which we process

We process your data on the basis of your consent (for example, when you submit the contact form), to perform a contract with you (delivering an engaged service), and to comply with legal obligations that apply to a professional services firm. You may withdraw consent at any time; where processing is necessary for a legal obligation or an active engagement, some data may need to be retained.

5. Sharing and disclosure

We share personal data only where necessary: with government and regulatory portals when filing on your behalf and on your instruction, with your authorised bank or auditors where an engagement requires it, and with service providers who help us operate (such as our email and form-handling providers) under appropriate confidentiality terms. We may also disclose information where required by law.

6. Data retention

We keep enquiry data only as long as needed to respond and, if you do not become a client, for a reasonable follow-up period. Engagement records are retained for the periods required by Indian tax, company and professional-record-keeping law, after which they are securely deleted or anonymised.

10. International transfers

We are based in India and process data in India. Where a service provider we use processes data outside India, we take steps to ensure it is handled with a comparable standard of protection.
